The R 1Active Mk3 is a high quality vintage style active ribbon microphone. It offers the unique and natural sound that has been available in classical microphones like the RCA 44 and 77 that are still used to make high quality recordings today, after almost 70 years. This is the active version of the R1 Mk2 and therefore requires 48 volt phantom power. It can be used with longer cable runs and with almost any microphone pre amplifier and also benefits from switches for low cut filter and 10dB pad.

The R1 Active Mk3 is very well suited for the recording of most sound sources like vocals, acoustic instruments, strings, horns, orchestras and choral groups and many live sound applications. It can even be used on drums and other percussion instruments.

The R1 Active Mk3 will provide the clarity and natural warmth associated with high quality ribbon microphones.

Comes complete with a high quality padded bag and 3 meter XLR cable as standard.
